Cars 4 Heroes is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that provides free, basic transportation to veterans, active-duty military, first responders, and their families that are in need. As the operating director of the Missouri branch, Galen Hassler works to coordinate donations and repair vehicles before awarding them to well-deserved recipients.
The Career Awareness Related Experience Program (CARE) gives Columbia’s youth the opportunity to prepare for the workforce through paid real-world experience. Galen’s Autobody participates in the CARE program, mentoring youth in technical training and soft skill development.
Encouraging youth to stay active and productive starting at a young age is something Galen has always had a passion for. Galen’s Auto Body is a proud sponsor to local softball/baseball teams that work to keep Columbia’s kids in a healthy environment.
